Norfolk Southern Railway has operational control of the Buffalo Southern Railroad's trackage from BSOR's connection with Norfolk Southern Railway at Blasdell, New York (BSOR MP 6.4) to the Conrail power switch in the CP-Draw interlocking (Conrail MP 1.8/BSOR MP 2.74), including BSOR's BC Yard. Prior to entering or departing said trackage, trains must receive instructions and permission from Norfolk Southern Railway's Yardmaster at Buffalo Junction, New York.

The Buffalo Southern built a new engine house at Reifler's siding in Hamburg NY. The structure will hold 2 of the larger locomotives (C420#2010/RS11#5010) and the Whitcomb (Riefler's little red switcher...though this is also being painted Buffalo Southern Green) The shop measures 125 x 50; and has two tracks inside.

HISTORY: This is a former Erie branch built by the Buffalo & Southwestern Railroad and operated by Conrail until 1981, when operations were turned over to the New York and Lake Erie Railroad. Erie County Industrial Development Authority acquired the property in 1982 and effective May 1, 1982, designated Buffalo Southern to operate it.
