Owego and Harford Rail Restoration Project
LOCATION: Tioga County, New York
PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The project will involve the restoration of the Owego & Harford Railroad in
order to preserve existing jobs depending on the rail service as well as create new job opportunities along
the line. Construction will involve a 2-mile stretch of rail west of the Village of Owego and 26-miles north to
Harford Mills in Cortland County (28-miles total).
